This year’s virus is nasty, but it is not only the Coronavirus out there that is causing people to get sick. I have found that in general the infections this year are aggressive and potent. Here are some time tested helps to get through the rest of this flu season.

Herbal Remedies+

Fever Formula
Formulated to reduce fever in young children, but effective for any age. This formula has muscle-tested strong for most of the infections this year. Ingredients: catnip, chamomile, yarrow, sage, feverfew, lobelia, pleurisy root, boneset.

Special Force
This formula helped my mother get over walking pneumonia, when a prescription antibiotic did not. It is mild tasting enough for children too. Strongest for bacteria infection. Ingredients: Astragalus, Echinacea, Licorice Root, St. John’s Wort, Burdock Root, Stevia Herb, Ginger Root in food grade alcohol.

Armor Essential Oil
Armor utilizes some of the strongest anti infectious oils which help protect and promote sustained health through the cold and flu season. Armor supports the immune system, blood circulation, and respiratory system to aid with our body’s ability to expel mucus and eliminate parasites, toxins and infections. I find that it helps coughs by just taking a couple drops.

Cough Tea
Cough tea helps to relieve the lungs of congestion and can soothe a sore throat. It loosens phlegm and calms bronchial spasm. The main herb is red clover blossoms which is known for helping coughs of all kinds. This tea is an old time remedy recommended in Back to Eden.

Vacuum Cleanse
This can help draw out the toxins and poisons from infections. It is a powerful detox. Ingredients: Psyllium Seed and Husks, Flax Seed, Bentonite Clay, Slippery Elm Bark, Marshmallow Root Powder, Apple Fiber Powder, Peppermint Leaf Powder, Activated Willow Charcoal

Elderberry Syrup
Elderberries contain compounds that inhibit the enzyme flu viruses from penetrating cell membranes and from invading respiratory tract cells. Our Elderberry syrup is extracted without heat, and we use raw apple cider vinegar and honey.

Wild Cherry Syrup
Cherries and cherry tree bark have been used as a cough remedy for decades. This combination with elderberry is both delicious and effective. Ingredients: Choke cherries, Elderberries, Cherry tree bark, Ginger root, in a base of raw apple cider vinegar, honey, and glycerin.

Acupressure for Cough
Pinch the middle finger between the middle joint and the joint that connects it to the hand. Hold pressure on this area until the cough subsides and continue to hold pressure for a while to keep from coughing. I have used this method many times in church or at other public places when I needed to stop coughing. I’ve also used this on my children when young to stop a cough.

Garlic for Cough
Peel a small garlic clove and place it in the back of the mouth on the gums. You can leave it in over night and it keeps a person from coughing throughout the night. Both my husband and I have done this many times and it works better than cough drops. Not recommended for children.

Tea Tree Oil for a Sore Throat
One of the best remedies for a sore throat is Tea Tree oil. Put some on your finger then take your finger and reached down inside your throat as far as you can, and swab it with the Tea Tree oil. This has helped our family many times.
