It has been a rough year since Covid hit it, and most of us probably have some stress in our lives.  It is comforting to know that God has provided us with herbs that help.  Today, I will talk about our soothing Stress Ease Tea.

The herbs in this tea help to relieve mild depression and stress. They also aid the circulatory, immune, glandular, digestive, and respiratory systems. The tea has a fresh sweet flavor and a pleasant taste.

Ingredients: Red raspberry leaf, passion flower, rose hips, peppermint, eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng), St. John’s wort,  lemon balm,  stevia, and ginkgo.

Red Raspberry leaf is mild enough for anyone even children. Although it is primarily known as the pregnancy herb, it has many other uses.  Historically, it has been used for stomach and bowel problems, diarrhea, cold, and fever. Red Raspberry leaf also helps balance hormones and is beneficial to both men and women.  It contains astringent compounds that relieve pain and shrink inflamed tissues.

St John Wort is continually being studied for its alleged mood-improving benefits. This herb is used in Europe for depression and anxiety. There is scientific evidence that St. John’s wort may be helpful in treating minor depression.

Lemon Balm has been used, at least since the Middle Ages, to reduce stress and anxiety, and help with sleep. Throughout history as a medicinal herb, lemon balm has been used as a mild sedative and as a digestive aid to relieve gas, and is also well known for its use with fevers and to increase perspiration.

Peppermint  is known to be good for strengthening the heart muscle, the nerves, and the entire body. It helps with overall pain and nausea, and is good for dizziness and fainting. It is aromatic, carminative (aides in dispelling gas), and rubefaceint (dilates capillaries and increases blood circulation).  It helps with digestion, by increasing the acid in the stomach.  It is also a stimulant that is much better than coffee because coffee is hard on the nerves, hinders digestion, and weakens the heart muscle.

Eleuthero root (formerly known as Siberian Ginseng)contains compounds that help the body respond quickly to stress.  Regulates both male and female hormones.  Historically, it has also been used to treat anemia, insomnia, diarrhea, fatigue, debility, stress, weak digestion, hypoglycemia, lethargy, immune deficiency, lack of endurance, weight loss, poor memory, and appetite.

Passion flower has been used as a calming herb for anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and hysteria. Scientists believe passionflower works by increasing levels of a chemical called gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, making you feel more relaxed.

Gingko   Gingko works by increasing blood flow to the brain and throughout the network of blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to all organs with rich blood supplies, including the lungs, heart, kidneys, liver and spleen. Gingko is said to increases blood flow to the retina and slow retinal deterioration. Gingko has also shown to improve hearing loss in the elderly

At Herbs4You, our Stress Ease Tea contains all these herbs and more. Try it and feel the difference.
