The health of our children should be a priority in our lives, not only for their sake, but also for society in general. Health is important. There is not a nation on the planet that can survive when its citizens are sick, or worn out caring for the sick. I will be doing a series on children’s health.
The Problem
According to CNN Health, January 31, 2023, “The United States spends more on health care than any other high-income country but still has the lowest life expectancy at birth and the highest rate of people with multiple chronic diseases, according to a new report from The Commonwealth Fund, an independent research group. The report, released Tuesday, also says that compared with peer nations, the US has the highest rates of deaths from avoidable or treatable causes and the highest maternal and infant death rates. “Americans are living shorter, less healthy lives because our health system is not working as well as it could be.” [3]
Obesity
According to the CDC, 1 in 5 children and adolescent have obesity.[1] This should be a grave concern since obesity is linked with many diseases and ill health. Here are problems associated with obesity in children:
- Increased risk of heart disease
- Increased risk of type 2 diabetes.
- Musculoskeletal disorders, especially osteoarthritis.
- Certain types of cancer (endometrial, breast, and colon).
- Anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
- Sleep disorders and joint pain.
As we can see, these are serious conditions that no child should have to suffer. Parents MUST help their children if they are over-weight and deal with this issue. A few helps are:
- limit intake – restrict eating to meal time only.
- If snacks are allowed, only let them have fruit or veggies
- eat more home cooked meals that are healthy
- limit desserts, sweets, starches, and especially sweet drinks
- have them do more physical exercise such as sports, swimming, walking, bicycling, etc
- limit screen time – send them outside to play.
- help them get enough sleep as there is a link between lack of sleep, obesity, and diabetes.
These are things that a parent can do for their child to help them develop into a healthy adult.
Autism
Another grave fact is that 1 in 36 children have autism and boys are 4 times more likely to get it than girls. [2] Autism not only affects the person who has it, but also the family and care givers. In 2000, there were said to be only 1 in 150, before this there were even less. Many believe that the increase in autism is directly linked to the increase in childhood vaccination.
Now, as a nation, we are facing a crisis with autistic children becoming adults. The documentary, The Autism Tsunami, gives much information as to this health crisis that is happening even now. I encourage you to watch it because even if you do not have an autistic child, the large number of autistic children and later adults will severely impact our society.
Here are some things that we can do to help:
- Work to pass legislation to get NO mandates for ANY vaccine for any reason
- Do not get any vaccines for your children, or grandchildren
- Help inform people especially parents about the dangers of vaccines
- Watch the documentary above and Vaxxed – from Cover Up to Catastrophe
- Share VAXXED or watch it with others. Spread the word and save lives.
I hope this has been helpful. I will continue this series on Children’s health. If you have any questions or would want me to cover a topic, please send us your request. Also, we will have FREE Botanical Medicine Consultation for children for the rest of August.
We’re here to help YOU!
