An holistic approach to health means looking and considering the whole being, not only one aspect of a person. Where health is concerned, there are 3 main areas that we must consider, these are: biochemical, emotional, and structural. Today, we will look at the biochemical component of health.
Introduction to the Triad of Health
The three critical components to our health also influence each other for bad or good, so it is important to know these. Health practitioners and modalities are separated by these as well. The three components are: Biochemical, Structural, Mind & Emotion.
Biochemical
The Biochemical component is our chemical makeup. This is the largest group. Our chemical makeup is influenced by whatever we consume, ingest, or inject into our bodies, whether it be good or bad. This would be our food, water, medication, shots, herbs, supplements, and vitamins. It would also include what we breathe in or chemicals that we put on our body, such as cosmetics, and also such things as laundry detergent, dish soap, and a myriad of other things we use that eventually gets into our bodies.
Practitioners that deal with this aspect of our health are many. Although this is a very important part of our health, it does not equal the whole.
PRACTITIONERS: medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, herbalists, naturopaths, homeopaths, nutritionists.
What I Have Found
Over the years, what I have found is that 65% of the health challenges that clients have can be addressed by dealing with this area of the Triad of Health. There may be structural or emotional components involved, but when the biochemical part is helped and strengthened, the other two areas are easier to manage and address.
Key Points
The biochemical component of health is an exhaustive topic, and many books have been written on this area of health. It would be impossible to include every aspect of this side of the Triad, but I will simplify it with a few key points;
- Eat wholesome foods in their natural state. Avoid processed food, GMO food, and any foods that have toxic substances.
- Drink pure water – To have health, it is imperative that a person drinks pure clean water. A few good choices are: distilled, Multi-pure system, Reverse Osmosis.
- Use herbs for healing – Herbs are God’s medicine and are truly safe and effective.
They can speed healing and bring vitality. Herbs can be taken as tea, tinctures, powder, and essential oils. - Avoid drugs – They do not bring healing, they only attempt to control the chemical balance of the body. Drug use can lead to more drug use, which can cause more problems.
- Avoid external chemicals – This would include: cleaners, deodorants, perfumes, cosmetics, body products, petroleum products, furniture made with press-board, carpets treated with formaldehyde, and such like.
- Detox Regularly – Take Herbs and supplements that help detox from toxins, parasites, yeast, virus, and bacteria.
Doing all of the above is truly a challenge, but the more we work at it, the better off we will be. I am not able to do all of the above all of the time either, so be encouraged, and continue to work towards health & vitality.
