We will take a break from the Miracle Cures today, as there are quite a few people that are sick. Here are some Botanical Medicines to keep you and your family healthy during this time and throughout the cold and flu season.
Below are several formulas that have been used for numerous different types of infections. Next to the name is what they are mainly effective for.
Special Force – bacteria
This is our herbal antibiotic tincture. This formula helped my mother get over walking pneumonia, when a prescription antibiotic did not. Others have also used it with good success for a variety of infections. It is the strong for bacterial infections, though it helps with viruses as well. Special Force is mild tasting enough for children.

Top Gon – virus
A simple but very effective formula for all sorts of infections. It contains Osha root, Astragalus root, and Lobelia herb. Osha root is a powerful anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antibacterial herb that is shown to improve respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma, and has historically been used to alleviate cold and flu symptoms. Astragalus root is considered a cultural treasure in China. Historically, it has been used to treat colds and upper respiratory infections. Astragalus has shown to stimulate the immune system, and it has an anti-viral agent that helps the body destroy viruses and other harmful microbes. Lobelia is an adaptogen and helps with coughs and reduces inflammation. With this powerful herbal antibiotic, your infection is gone!
Fever Formula – bacteria
This was mainly formulated for young children to reduce their fever when it gets too high (104+). The herbs in this formula are very good for colds or flus for anyone, but because of its mild taste, children and those who have a hard time taking the “strong” stuff will greatly benefit from it. This formula has catnip in it so it also helps with the pain that fever and colds can have.

A great way to boost your child’s immune system. These herbs have a long history for helping with colds, flu, and fever. As the saying goes, “a spoonful of sugar, makes the medicine go down!” The honey in this formula helps enhance the taste so children don’t mind taking their “medicine”. Several have said that when they take this at the onset of a cold, the cold is gone! Great for adults as well.
Ingredients: Catnip Leaf, Cherry Tree Bark, Echinacea Root, Elderberry, Ginger Root, Licorice Root, Red Clover Tops, Yarrow Leaf, Rosehips, in Pure Honey and food grade alcohol.
This is an old herbal combination used by herbalists of old time. Dr. Nowell, an old-time instructor at the Dominion Herbal College, of Vancouver, British Columbia, stated in a textbook, “We have made and used composition powder for over forty years . . . We believe it has done more good than any other single preparation ever known to man. If this compound were kept in every home, and used as the occasion arose, there would be far less sickness. Elderberry Syrup – virus prevention
Elderberries contain compounds that inhibit the enzyme flu viruses from penetrating cell membranes and also prevent the virus from invading respiratory tract cells. Our Elderberry syrup is extracted without heat so it retains its many properties. We use raw apple cider vinegar and honey to make the elderberry syrup, so you get the benefit of these great immune fighters as well. Good for children and those who have a hard time taking the “strong stuff”.
